    • A toga was like a large blanket draped over body leaving one arm free
    • Made of wool
  • Footwear
    • Sandals with open toes - proper footwear for indoors
    • Shoes encased the foot and covered the toes - appropriate for outdoors, always worn with the toga
    • When visiting upper-class, removed shoes at door slipped on sandals that had been carried by slave
    • Shoes made of leather
